Regional Hubs

EAP REGIONAL HUBS NETWORK

EAP is working with a network of regional hubs to co-create and deliver a series of online and onsite training opportunities for institutions, researchers, archivists, librarians and anyone interested in protecting archival material at risk.

Attendees at an onsite training session at Jadavpur University

To date, EAP has set up five regional EAP hubs across the globe, which serve as a focal point for regional outreach and training tailored to each region’s needs and interests:

EAP webinars and events

To date, we have organised workshops in collections care, conservation, digitisation and digital preservation across all hubs, and we have also organised webinars on how to apply to EAP, audio preservation, cataloguing and metadata.

Here are some of our upcoming training events:

Audio Collections: Creating a Preservation Strategy

Date & Time:  May 9, 2024 at 2-3.30 pm UK time / 4-5.30 pm Lebanon time

The safeguarding of sound collections relies on digitisation and digital preservation: migrating at-risk recordings from unstable physical carriers to a stable and permanent digital archive. In this webinar and with reference to the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives’ (IASA) TC-03, we will explore the role of the sound archive in preservation and the creation of a strategy for digitisation and digital preservation. This webinar will be led by Adam Tovell, Head of Technical Services and Processing at the British Library.
